Global Wireless Mesh Network Market: Global Size, Trends, Competitive, Historical & Forecast Analysis, 2023-2029- Increasing use of smart connected devices & rising bandwidth demand and a decline in the price of connected devices are anticipated to drive the growth of Global Wireless Mesh Network Market.
A wireless mesh network is a type of wireless network that utilizes multiple interconnected access points or nodes to provide coverage over a wide area. Each node in a mesh network communicates with other nodes in the network, enabling data to be transmitted over multiple pathways. This can increase network reliability, improve coverage, and provide better overall performance compared to traditional wireless networks. Mesh networks were originally used in military tests in the 1980s, and high-end commercial gear became accessible in the 1990s. Wireless mesh networks are used to link internet of things (IoT) devices such as sensors, security systems, smart appliances, and monitoring systems to public Wi-Fi access offered by towns and municipalities. Wireless mesh networks have become increasingly popular in recent years, particularly in areas where traditional wired networks are impractical or too expensive to deploy.
Due to the emergence of Covid-19 in December 2019, the global WLAN market has had a twofold impact in recent months. Several countries have imposed lockdowns and closed businesses except for critical products and services as a result of the pandemic (allowed with a minimal workforce). Work-from-home policies have been mandated in other firms, resulting in a mixed demand for wireless networks. Due to the temporary closure of firms, the worldwide WLAN market has moderately dropped in recent months. The demand for consumer wireless devices, on the other hand, increased.

The major factor driving the growth of global Wireless Mesh Network market is the increasing use of smart connected devices & rising bandwidth demand and etc. Increasing IoT adoption and Wi-Fi usage, as well as rising need for faster data transfer and greater Wi-Fi coverage, will propel the wireless mesh network market forward throughout the projected period. In today's globe, there are 4.95 billion internet users. In the last year, the overall number of internet users worldwide increased by 192 million, or more than 500,000 new users every day. The typical internet user in the world spends about 7 hours each day online. In 2022, the world's internet users will have spent more than 1.4 billion years of human life online when added together. The typical social media user visits or uses 7.5 distinct social sites per month, expanding at a pace of 10.1 percent each year globally. According to WI, the typical global user spends 2 hours 27 minutes each day on social media. Every day, the entire globe spends more than 10 billion hours on social media. According to the most recent data from GSMA Intelligence, there are 5.31 billion unique mobile phone users in the globe today. The number of smartphones in use is increasing at a 5.7 percent annual rate, with about 1 million new devices being added every day.
However, data privacy and security concerns are expected to hamper the market growth. In spite of that, Increasing demand from developing economies, growing adoption of IoT and smart network applications are expected to provide more growth opportunities for the further growth of the market.
On the basis of region, the global wireless mesh network market is segmented into North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific Latin America and Middle East & Africa. North America is expected to dominate the global wireless mesh network market within the forecast period due to increasing use of smart connected devices & rising bandwidth demand in this region. The United States is still the most important market for wireless mesh networks due to high levels of adoption for security surveillance and increased demand for mission-critical applications. Over the next five years, home networking, video surveillance, and medical device connection applications are expected to grow in popularity in North America. As of 2019, 86.6 percent of all households in the United States had some form of internet access. Broadband was the most common kind of internet subscription among US homes, with over 70.8 percent of households using broadband services such as cable, fibre optics, or DSL.
Asia Pacific is expected to be the fastest-growing regional market over the forecast period attributed to the growing number of smart city development efforts undertaken by various governments in order to improve operational efficiency and resource optimization. In addition, the region's quickly rising oil and gas industry will help the WMN market grow even faster.
