News-Long-distance Power Line Communications Module being Tested

On March 9th, 2021; MIRAIT, MMD, NURI Telecom, and Socionext, currently developed by Socionext, have been tested using a next-generation long-distance power line communication LSI-equipped compact PoC system. This PoC is available for system verification in April 2021. Large-scale production of LSI will start in the financial year 2021 (April 2021 - March 2022). Companies have conducted specialized studies in the field of energy and ICT, primarily for social implementation. HD-PLC (High Definition Power Line Communication) is a technology that adheres to the international standard IEEE 1901-2020, to place communication signals on power lines, unlike normal communication networks, wired or wireless.

Furthermore, Its greatest feature is that it eliminates the need for a dedicated communication network for individual devices using power lines, and communicates between devices when the signal is integrated into the power lines. Moreover, Next-generation long-distance power line communication LSI, which is developing Socionext, now adheres to the next generation standards of high-speed power line communication and communicates industry-leading small size, low power consumption, and long-distance communication through Socionext.

Power supply technology using proprietary low power solution, high-efficiency analog, and advanced processing technology.
