On June 21st, 2021; Global taste and nutrition company Kerry Group announced a deal to buy preservatives maker Hare Topco, trading as Niacet, for €853m as it sharpens its focus on its ingredients business. Niacet products in baking preservation and quality enhancement include calcium propionate, sodium propionate, the Proniaturel line of antimicrobial additives, calcium stearoyl lactylate, calcium acetate and potassium propionate.
